Farmer's Market Apron - June

There’s something wonderful about a the Bitter Root Town Park in the summer (well, folks will tell you it's wonderful every season of the year, and they're right!). Starting in June and running every Saturday through mid August, folks come from all over, bringing the best their farms and gardens have to offer. The baskets are waiting, and everything seems to have arrived that morning—their best produce, cheeses, fresh milk and eggs, baked goods, and early apples stacked high in wooden boxes. Farmer’s Market belongs right there in the middle of it all.

The apron combines a cheerful green-and-white stripe with a vintage farm-market print filled with cows, pigs, chickens, barns, milk bottles, eggs, and old-fashioned market lettering. A bright green polka-dot pocket adds just the right bit of playfulness. It’s an apron made for gathering things: vegetables from the garden, groceries from the market, or whatever little treasures happen to find their way into your basket.

And perhaps that is what Market Day is really about—bringing home the good things while they are available at their best, and making something wonderful out of them.

There's a hand-painted sign present at the entrance of Town Park every Saturday during Farmer's Market season: “Take your time here at the market. There’s always something worth stopping for.”  When you come, make a day of it. Between the free samples, the impromptu jam sessions featuring the talented town musicians, the festive atmosphere, the gorgeous smell of fresh-baked cakes, pies and cookies - you'll wish it was Market Day every day.
