From The Mercantile

Gert and the girls love decorating the Mercantile for Christmas, and every year it is more beautiful and more memorable than the last. Two years ago, they had a toy train set at waist level. That train went all over the Mercantile! The kids in town thought it was just as delightful as some of the sites of the Frost Fair.

Last year they turned the store into a huge gingerbread village called "Ginger Root, S.C." The houses were huge old doll houses, decorated to look just like giant gingerbread houses. Mel at Sweetie Pie's Bakery donated the Gingerbread families who lived in each house.

I can't wait to see what Gert and the girls have in store for us this year!
